Zoning Articles for 2018 Annual Town Meeting

The following articles to amend the Zoning Bylaw or Zoning Map are included on the warrant for the 2018 Annual Town Meeting. In addition to a brief description of the articles, this page includes links to the warrant articles and the Public Hearing notice.

The Planning Board held a Public Hearing to discuss these articles at the Board's regular meeting on Monday, February 5, 2018. Link to the Public Hearing Notice.

Following the public hearing, the Planning Board issued a report and recommendations on the Articles that will be included in the Advisory Book and submitted to Town Meeting. Link to Planning Board Report & Recommendation. Based on further review and consideration, the Planning Board decided to seek 'no motion' on Article 31 - Outdoor Lighting Bylaw.

Article 28 - Recreational Marijuana Prohibition (Sponsored by Board of Selectmen) 

This article seeks to amend the Zoning Bylaw to prohibit marijuana establishments other than Registered Marijuana Dispensaries.

Article 29 - NRC Rezonings (Sponsored by the Planning Board and Natural Resources Commission)

This article seeks to amend the Zoning Map by rezoning properties owned by the Natural Resources Commission into the Parks, Recreation, and Conservation zoning district.

Article 30 - Zoning Map Corrections (Sponsored by the Planning Board)

This article seeks to amend the Zoning Map to address errors found in the current Zoning Map and make other changes related thereto.

Article 31 - Outdoor Lighting Bylaw (Sponsored by the Planning Board) - No Motion

This article seeks to amend the Zoning Bylaw to include a section regulating outdoor lighting for large single-family homes, commercial construction projects, and signage.

Article 36 - Rezoning of 7 Burke Lane & 170-184 Worcester Street (Citizens Petition)

This article seeks to amend the Zoning Map by rezoning two properties associated with 7 Burke Lane.
